Utilizing this process of reasoning is a great way to apply critical thinking to all aspects of life. You can utilize critical thinking in personal, social and professional areas within your life, whether it is a problem or circumstance. Critical thinking is also an important area of science education

Critical thinking has a great deal to do with science, it is necessary in order to effectively analyze information that has been gathered and being able to effectively apply the information. Science itself is the way knowledge is gathered and interpreted. With this, critical thinking is utilized in science as well. Analyzing and evaluating scientific information and taking truths or facts of that information and applying it in a scientific method is done through critical thinking skills. Utilizing this is how one would come up with an alternative explanation of an idea or testing of an idea. In science you utilize critical thinking to analyze, gather data and then analyze the data obtained to draw a conclusion. It is important to adhere to the standards of critical thinking. Using critical thinking and adhering to certain standards will alleviate the problem of taking one side over another or leaning more to one side of evidence over the other. Good critical thinking allows the professional to make the best use of data that they have obtained in a way that will allow them to advance within their area of expertise.
